KOMMENTAR:

To kilder pÃ¥ dette show, begge publikumsoptagelser. Bliver bedre under “ISE“. Kilde 2 er en rigtig god optagelse fra jojogunne, og du kan læse herunder hvordan det lykkedes ham at optage showet:

A good friend of mine introduced me to record shows and bootleg tapes back around 1986, but I had been aware of vinyl bootlegs since 1973. After attending many “gatherings of the faithful” at various Pittsburgh area hotels and convention centers (and some of those were pretty wacky) and spending ~ $300 on tapes (at ~ $5-10/tape), I began to think “Hey, this recording thing can’t be THAT hard ; I’ll bet that I can do it myself and the
quality will be at least as good as what I’m buying !” How right I turned out to be. After buying a SONY WM-F46 with tie mic included for a whopping $60 plus tax, I was on my way. Being a
Do It Yourself type of person, I started checking the news for upcoming concerts. Aerosmith/Guns’n’Roses was the first concert
that I spotted so I decided to make that the maiden voyage.

I was pretty paranoid about getting caught taping so I tried to dress in a way that would dissuade people from approaching me. I decided on a old shirt, weird tie and a worn sport jacket to cover the shoulder-slung recorder. I looked like a fucking retard. But that was what I was shooting for ; I figured that if somebody looked at me and thought “What a good guy to stay away from !”, half the battle was won. The concert day arrived. I drove into downtown Pixburgh and up the hill to the Civic Arena. As I walked to one of the many gates of the circular building, my heart was in my mouth. I was convinced that a cop was gonna pull me out of line
and it would be all over. Not to worry. The little old men ticket-takers barely looked at me and when I successfully snuck everything in, I felt like cheering. The big winner…I found my seat and waited for the show to start. When Guns ‘N’ Roses hit the stage and began to play, I hit REC and the rest is history…

The Gunners played a ferocious 48 minute set and almost blew Aerosmith off the stage. I was not real impressed with Axl’s vocals and wondered how somebody could screech like that for almost an hour and still have any voice left. You have the audio document in your hands if you grab
this so enjoy it if you get it. I made a few beginner’s mistakes, like talking just a little to my neighbors, continually checking to see if the recorder was running, fiddling with the mic, letting people use
my binoculars and looking around to see if I were being observed. I stopped all that crap after a while. I was able to edit out virtually all my talking, so that won’t be a problem. The concert is complete and is a record of a hungry band on their way up playing like there would be no tomorrow. Quite a different band than what bears that name
now. That’s about all that I have, so let’s get this little gem on the road to spiritual enlightenment OR we can just welcome it to the jungle…

Well, that’s about it, so let’s get this show on the road…

Axl: “yeah somebody just passed out up here, I don’t need fuckin’ dying on my show again man…” Efter 7 minutter,  kommer speakeren op og siger: “folks, we want to have a show, we need everyone in the back to stay calm, just like you are, please if you can take a step back, we’re getting the people up front who need to be out, and then we’ll continue, ok? We just need to calm things down a little. We don’t want anyone gettin’ hurt tonight” Han fortsætter med at bede publikum om at hjælpe til med at fÃ¥ folk ud, der har brug for hjælp. Nogle minutter efter kommer Axl ud og præsenterer “KOHD“. Efter en vild version af “WTTJ“, beder Axl igen nogen træde et skridt tilbage. Han fortæller at han ved at de er sure over pauserne, men at der findes andre professionelle bands, der er ligeglade med publikum, og præsenterer den næste sang med ordene: “This is something that’ll be on the new GnR Lies, this is something we call Patience…try a little of it!“.

INFO: Da bandet kommer pÃ¥ scenen, siger Axl, “Sorry about being late, I ain’t used to be up in the fucking daylight, it’s kinda strange! This is something from an EP that will be coming out, this is something called ‘You’re Crazy!‘” Axl ser nogle kameraer under ‘Patience‘ og bliver virkelig vred: “You don’t want me to come down there FUCKFACE!”

KOMMENTAR:

Slash Comments On Duff’s Reunion With Axl, Metallica’s Glastonbury Appearance – Blabbermouth.net

Slash has once again commented on Duff McKagan’s reunion with Axl Rose at five GUNS N’ ROSES concerts in South America and the Revolver Golden Gods awards show in Los Angeles in April. McKagan joined the band to fill in for bassist Tommy Stinson, who was committed to two reunion shows at the Coachella festival with THE REPLACEMENTS. Slash told DailyStar.co.uk earlier this month: “It really isn’t that big a deal. Duff told me he was going to fill in for what’s his name.”

He added: “It’s a different dynamic than my relationship with GUNS or Axl. I don’t let them worry me.”

Slash also commented on the negative feedback to METALLICA’s upcoming headlining appearance at the U.K.’s Glastonbury festival, which will be the first time in the event’s 44-year history that a metal act has topped the bill. Asked about the response, Slash told DailyStar.co.uk: “There’s eclectic festivals with a mish-mash of music and I appreciate that. We played Glasto a few years ago, [and] it was interesting. But when METALLICA comes in, you can’t have them come on after fucking Katy Perry. It should be a METALLICA-type festival.”

Slash recently told TeamRock that he bears no ill will toward McKagan for doing the aforementioned GN’R shows, saying, “I don’t judge Duff. He’s cool. He just has a way more amicable, neutral relationship with Axl than I do.”

Slash has set “World On Fire” as the title of his third album under the solo Slash banner, with the disc set to come out on September 15. Slash and his band, MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS, recorded 17 songs for the follow-up to 2012’s “Apocalyptic Love”. Among the tracks on the record are “Shadow Life”, “Automatic Overdrive”, “Wicked Stone”, “30 Years To Life”, “Bent To Fly”, “Battleground” and the title track, which will also serve as the set’s first single.

Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses Wrap Up Vegas Residency in Style | Phoenix New Times

Axl Rose and his new cast of gunners wrapped up their second residency at The Joint inside The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino over the weekend in Las Vegas with a bang. While their were no Izzy Stradlin or Duff McKagen surprise appearances on the final night this time around, there was plenty of star power in the sold out venue. Comedian Andrew Dice Clay was on hand to provide his signature adult-oriented comedy before actor Nicholas Cage brought the band onstage right after midnight.
